- tendency to cause birth defects. Teratogenicity is a potential side effect of some drugs, including ribavirin.
- therapy
- generally refers to treatment or medications
- thrombocytopenia
- decrease in blood platelets
- toxic
- harmful to the body
- toxin
- substance that is toxic or poisonous
- Traditional Chinese Medicine
- complete medical system that describes health and well-being as a balance between yin (vital function) and yang (vital essence)
- transfusion
- transfer of blood or part of the blood (such as red cells) from one person to another
- transient elastography
- a type of non-invasive test to measure liver damage, similar to an ultrasound
- transplant
- life-saving operation to replace a diseased organ, like a liver, with a healthy, donated one. In the case of Hep C, the virus is still in the body and will cause damage to the new liver.

- transfer of an organ from one person to another
- triglyceride
- type of fat. Abnormally high levels in the blood can lead to health concerns, like heart conditions.
