This is a list of the Community Health and Social Services Centres in Québec put out by the Ministry of Health and Social Services of Québec. Most of them offer Hep C testing, Hep A and B vaccination and information and counselling over the phone and in person from social workers, nurses and doctors. This program offers services to support comprehensive and optimal medical care for people living with hepatitis C (prescriptions, follow ups, nursing support). They also offer clients screening and vaccinations against hepatitis A and B. Their approach is based in harm reduction, motivation and the philosophy of Caring.  Services are provided free of cost.

For an appointment, contact the clinical nurse specialist at (418) 541 – 1234 extension 2080. The nurse is available Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The Regional Office of AIDS Action gives training and workshops on HIV, hepatitis C, and harm reduction to local organizations, schools and the community. They have a variety of publications and articles on these topics. As part of their outreach program, BRAS does street work and provides needles and crack pipes to drug users. Other services include: counselling, referrals, and temporary housing to people who are co-infected with HIV and Hep C.

ÉMISS-ère is a community organization that promotes sexual health, safety and acceptance of the LGBTQ and HIV-positive communities. The CLF has a series of free workshops (in English and French) to help people living with liver diseases, including Hep C, to manage daily challenges like anxiety, stress and how to self-advocate. CAPAHC is the primary hepatitis C organization in Québec. They have a Hep C information phone line and can provide referrals on where to get Hep C info, testing, treatment and support for all of Québec. CAPAHC also provides workshops and training for service providers, organizations, corrections services and any at-risk or interested community members. They can also accompany people living with Hep C to clinics for testing and appointments and offer a support group on the 3rd Friday of every month (year round except for July-August).
